CRITICAL Software Announces New Oversee Partnership With Arlo Maritime

January 21, 2017

CRITICAL Software has announced a new partnership agreement with Arlo Maritime, an international company based in Norway that provides services for maritime communications, GMDSS, Search & Rescue (SAR) and Vessel Traffic Management Services (VTMS).

The agreement means that Arlo Maritime is now an official partner and distributor of CRITICAL Software’s award-winning maritime information system, Oversee.

Oversee is a one-stop shop for maritime operations centre activities, providing unprecedented situational awareness. Oversee integrates organisations’ maritime activities into a single, fully-integrated information system, helping them to more effectively meet their safety, security and environmental protection responsibilities at sea.

Oversee is already used by international organisations such as the Portuguese Navy and the Irish Coast Guard, and Arlo Maritime will use the system to bolster the solutions it offers to its diverse global client base.

Arne Loland, CEO of Arlo Maritime, said: “Oversee strengthens our positon as a leading ‘total contractor’ for maritime and coastal services, complementing our existing portfolio of solutions. Oversee brings exciting new capabilities to the industry, improving situational awareness, reducing incident response times and improving monitoring and analysis capabilities.”

Ricardo Maia, Product Manager of Oversee, said: “Arlo Maritime is well-respected across the industry and shares our passion and dedication for technology that improves safety, security and operational effectiveness at sea. This exciting new partnership will see us work closely together in taking Oversee to new shores.”

Established in 1998, CRITICAL Software provides systems, software and data engineering services for safety, mission and business-critical applications, helping to ensure clients meet the most demanding quality standards for safety, performance and reliability.

Arlo Maritime was established in 2009, as a spin-off of Arlo Innovation, which was established in 1992. The company offers maritime consulting, installation, supply and support services, as well as planning and training consultancy services.
